Authors Guidelines

1. Scope of Publication
The journal accepts original scientific research papers and commentaries on judicial rulings, whether prepared by university professors, judges, lawyers, or consultants, provided that the research methodology is properly followed. Submissions from law students are also accepted if prepared under the supervision of academic professors specializing in Sharia or law. Submissions are welcomed in the following areas:

Islamic Sharia.

Law in all its branches.

Comparative studies between Sharia and law in all fields.

Legislations, judicial rulings, legal fatwas, and advisory opinions.

Commentary on laws in various branches of law.

Commentary on judicial rulings, whether issued by national courts of different levels or by international or foreign courts.

Commentary on Sharia fatwas issued by fatwa institutions.

Advisory opinions issued by experts when of benefit to society.

Summaries of academic theses (PhD or Master’s), with the authors’ permission, provided that the thesis addresses an important issue of societal value and that the summary does not exceed 10 pages.

2. Writing Guidelines

Research papers will not be accepted for publication—regardless of the author’s position or academic degree—unless they strictly adhere to Arabic grammar and orthography. The Editor-in-Chief has the right to reject any paper that does not meet this requirement without referral to reviewers.

Proper use of punctuation marks is required, and they must be placed directly after the preceding word without leaving a space.

Research papers should range between fifteen (15) and thirty (30) pages.

References and sources must be cited in footnotes at the bottom of each page, with numbering restarted on each page. Footnote numbers should be placed in parentheses (1).

Qur’anic verses must be quoted from the electronic Mushaf, placed within decorated brackets, and followed by the name of the Surah and the verse number in square brackets in the text, not in the footnotes.

The research paper (both text and footnotes) must be written in Simplified Arabic font for Arabic submissions, with the following sizes:

Main text: Regular, size 14.

Main headings: Bold, size 16.

Subheadings: Bold, size 16.

Footnotes: Regular, size 12.

If English is required, the font should be Times New Roman.

Each paper must include an abstract in both Arabic and English, not exceeding 150 words.

Keywords must be provided in both Arabic and English, with a maximum of 7 keywords.

An updated CV of the author must be attached, along with documentation of the most recent academic promotion.

3. Publication Process

The researcher submits the paper via the journal’s official email or designated platform.

The paper must comply with the journal’s publication guidelines (both formal and substantive).

The editorial board conducts an initial screening to ensure compliance with publication requirements and to verify originality and freedom from plagiarism.

The editorial board reserves the right to reject non-compliant papers without referral to peer review.

Papers accepted at the preliminary stage are referred to specialized reviewers under a double-blind peer review system.

Reviewers’ reports are presented to the Editor-in-Chief for the final decision (acceptance, acceptance with revisions, or rejection).

If revisions are required, the author must complete them within the specified period before re-evaluation.

Upon final acceptance, the paper is prepared for publication in accordance with the journal’s formatting style.

The paper is published in the designated issue and made electronically available under the open access policy.
