Abstract

The Supreme Court is the highest judicial authority in Libya, whose judgements are final in all types of disputes, including constitutional disputes. However, some legislation, whether constitutional or ordinary, contains certain provisions that affect the jurisdiction of this court, whether they are abolished, prevented, strengthened, or not clarified in certain matters or inconsistencies in its judgements, thus impeding the exercise of those powers.
This study therefore attempts to clarify these legislations and how the work of this court can be hampered, in order to remedy them through the authorities concerned, so that the court can exercise these powers.
